There will be an online seminar via Microsoft Teams on Thursday 4 November 2021 5pm – 6pm [registration at 4:50pm] for those interested in applying for appointment.   The seminar aims to help applicants be better prepared to make an application and to receive up to date guidance and advice on the JAC’s selection process.  It will also give an overview of the Chamber and its work, a description of the role of an Upper Tribunal Judge (AAC) and the experience of sitting as a Deputy Judge in the Chamber.

You will hear from:

Upper Tribunal Judge Rowley (AAC)

A Deputy Upper Tribunal Judge (AAC)

Andrew Isaac (Senior Selection Exercise Manager) from the JAC.

Who should attend?

The competition will be open to candidates who do not have previous judicial experience.

A person will be eligible for appointment if they have 7 years legal post qualification experience as a solicitor, barrister or advocate is needed, or if in the opinion of the Senior President of Tribunals, they have gained experience in law which makes them suitable for appointment.
