The Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) will be launching a selection exercise in June to recruit 20 candidates for the post of fee-paid Medical Members of the Mental Health Review Tribunal for Wales.

The seminar
The Judicial Office is organising a pre-application seminar that will take place online via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 10th June 2025 (5-6pm).

The seminar aims to help applicants be better prepared to make an application and to receive up-to-date guidance and advice on the JAC’s selection process. As well as the JAC, you will also hear from Tribunal Judges and current Medical Members.

Who should attend?
This role is open to registered medical practitioners with unconditional registration with the GMC. Applicants must have held a full-time or part-time appointment as a consultant psychiatrist for at least three years and have membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Applications are particularly welcome from under-represented groups (women, ethnic minority candidates, disabled candidates).

Aelodau Meddygol (sy’n derbyn ffi) Tribiwnlys Adolygu Iechyd Meddwl Cymru - Seminar Cyn Ymgeisio 2025

Bydd y Comisiwn Penodiadau Barnwrol (JAC) yn lansio ymarfer dethol ym mis Mehefin i recriwtio 20 o ymgeiswyr ar gyfer swydd Aelodau Meddygol (sy’n derbyn ffi) Tribiwnlys Adolygu Iechyd Meddwl Cymru.

Y seminar
Mae’r Swyddfa Farnwrol yn trefnu seminar cyn ymgeisio a fydd yn cael ei gynnal ar-lein trwy Microsoft Teams ar Ddydd Mawrth 10 Mehefin 2025 (5-6pm).

Mae’r seminar yn anelu at helpu ymgeiswyr i baratoi’n well ar gyfer gwneud cais ac i dderbyn yr arweiniad a chyngor diweddaraf ar broses ddethol y JAC. Yn ogystal â’r JAC, byddwch hefyd yn clywed gan Farnwyr Tribiwnlys ac Aelodau Meddygol presennol.

Pwy ddylai fynychu?
Mae’r rôl hon ar agor i ymarferwyr meddygol cofrestredig sydd wedi cofrestru’n ddiamod gyda’r Cyngor Meddygol Cyffredinol (GMC). Rhaid i ymgeiswyr fod wedi dal penodiad llawn amser neu ran-amser fel seiciatrydd ymgynghorol am o leiaf dair blynedd a bod yn aelod o Goleg Brenhinol y Seiciatryddion.

Croesewir ceisiadau yn enwedig gan grwpiau sy’n cael eu tangynrychioli (menywod, ymgeiswyr o gefndir ethnig lleiafrifol, ymgeiswyr sydd ag anabledd).
