Appointment as a Judge of the Upper Tribunal, Administrative Appeals Chamber: Smith
The King has appointed Lyndsey Joanne Smith to be a salaried Judge of the Upper Tribunal on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Senior President of Tribunals, the Right Honourable Sir Keith Lindblom.
The Senior President of Tribunals has assigned her to the Administrative Appeals Chamber with effect from 6 November 2023.
Lyndsey Joanne Smith (formerly Lyndsey Joanne Clough) will be known as Upper Tribunal Judge L. Joanne Smith. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2004. She was appointed a Fee Paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber, in 2014, and a fee-paid Upper Tribunal Judge, Administrative Appeals Chamber in 2018.
