Appointment of a High Court Judge: Constable KC

The King is pleased to approve the appointment of a Justice of the High Court. This appointment will take effect from 13 March 2023.

The candidate approved as a High Court Judge is Adam Constable KC.

This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements. For further information regarding the number of applicants and number of recommended candidates, please see the Judicial Appointments Commission website:

Adam Constable KC

Adam Constable will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Constable. He was Called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1995 and took Silk in 2011. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2009.

He will take up appointment on 13 March 2023.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Adam Constable KC to the King’s Bench Division.
