Appointment of a High Court Judge: Rajah KC
The King is pleased to approve the appointment of a Justice of the High Court. This appointment will take effect from 18 April 2023.
The candidate approved as a High Court Judge is Eason Rajah KC.
This appointment will fill a vacancy in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements.
Eason Rajah KC
Eason Rajah KC will be known as The Honourable Mr Justice Rajah. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1989 and took Silk in 2011. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2016 and was authorised to sit as a High Court Judge in the Chancery Division under section 9(1) of the Senior Courts Act 1981 in 2020.
He will take up appointment on 18 April 2023.
The Lord Chief Justice will assign Eason Rajah KC to the Chancery Division.
