Appointment of a Salaried Employment Judge of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales): Povey

The Lord Chancellor, The Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP, has appointed Stephen Povey to be a Salaried Employment Judge of the Employment Tribunals (England and Wales).

Stephen Povey will be assigned to the Wales Region with effect from 1 March 2023.

Background Information

Stephen Povey will be known as Employment Judge Povey. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1996. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Legal Chairman of the Residential Property Tribunal for Wales in 2008 and as a Fee-paid Employment Judge for Wales in 2011. He was also appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber, in 2013 and to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber, in 2014 and as a Salaried Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber, in 2018.
