Circuit Judge Appointment: Beckley
The King has appointed John Beckley to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at the Court of Protection with effect from 9 October 2023.
Background Information
John Beckley will be known as His Honour Judge Beckley. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2003. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2015, as a District Judge in 2018, and as a Recorder in 2023.
