Circuit Judge Appointment: Boyle

The King has appointed Matthew Boyle to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Inner London Crown Court with effect from 9 October 2023.

Background Information

Matthew Boyle will be known as His Honour Judge Boyle. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2000 and admitted as an ad eundem member of Lincoln’s Inn in 2023. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2019.
