Circuit Judge Appointment: Brownhill
The King has appointed Joanna Brownhill to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Brandon Lewis CBE MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Western Circuit, based at Salisbury Combined Court with effect from 17 October 2022.
Background Information
Joanna Brownhill will be known as Her Honour Judge Brownhill. She was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1997. She was appointed as a fee paid Judge of the First Tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber and also to the Property Chamber in 2011. She was appointed as a salaried Judge of the First Tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber in 2018.
