Circuit Judge Appointment: Egan
The King has appointed Eugene Egan to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Wales Circuit, based at Cardiff Crown Court with effect from 30 October 2023.
Background Information
Eugene Egan will be known as His Honour Judge Egan. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1993. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2019 and as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal in 2021.
