Circuit Judge Appointment: Ezzat

The Queen has appointed Karim Mostafa Ali Ezzat to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Wood Green Crown Court with effect from 31 August 2021.

Background Information

Karim Mostafa Ali Ezzat, aged 44, will be known as His Honour Judge Ezzat. He was admitted to the Roll in 2004. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2012, as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2016 and as a Recorder in 2018.
