Circuit Judge Appointment: Godfrey
The Queen has appointed Timothy Andrew Ellinger Godfrey to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Chelmsford Crown Court with effect from 27 September 2022.

Timothy Andrew Ellinger Godfrey will be known as His Honour Judge Godfrey. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1997. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates Court) in 2012, as a District Judge (Magistrates Court) in 2020 and as a Recorder in 2020.
