Circuit Judge Appointment: Greenfield

The King has appointed Peter Greenfield to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Reading Family and County Court with effect from 2 January 2024.

Background Information

Peter Greenfield will be known as His Honour Judge Greenfield. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1989. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2006, as an Advisory Committee Member in 2007, and as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2012.
