Circuit Judge Appointment: Griffiths
The King has appointed Sarah-Jane Griffiths to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Snaresbrook Crown Court with effect from 09 October 2023.
Background Information
Sarah-Jane Griffiths will be known as Her Honour Judge Griffiths. She was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1998 and was also admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2010. She was appointed as a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Social Entitlement Chamber, in 2013 and as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2016.
