The Queen has appointed James Christopher Hassall to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Robert Buckland QC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Civil Justice Centre with effect from 6 September 2021.
James Christopher Hassall, aged 49, will be known as His Honour Judge Hassall. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 1995. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2004 and as a District Judge in 2010.
