Circuit Judge Appointment: Hobson
The Queen has appointed Paul Hobson to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Wales Circuit, based at Cardiff Crown Court with effect from 18 July 2022.
Background Information
Paul Hobson will be known as His Honour Judge Hobson. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2000. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2019 and as a Legal Member of the Mental Health Review Tribunal for Wales in 2021.
