Circuit Judge Appointment: Johnson

The King has appointed Ross Johnson to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Luton Crown Court with effect from 9 October 2023.

Background Information

Ross Johnson will be known as His Honour Judge Ross Johnson. He was admitted to the Roll in 2002. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2017, as a Recorder in 2018, as a Tribunal Judge in 2019, and as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2020.
