Circuit Judge Appointment: Khan
The Queen has appointed Shomon Khan to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Wales Circuit, based at Cardiff Crown Court with effect from 18 July 2022.
Background Information
Shomon Khan will be known as His Honour Judge Shomon Khan. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1996. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2012, as a District Judge (Magistrates’ Court) in 2016 and as a Recorder in 2019.
