Circuit Judge Appointment: Levitt QC
The Queen has appointed Alison Frances Josephine Levitt QC to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Snaresbrook Crown Court with effect from 4 October 2021.
Background Information
Alison Frances Josephine Levitt QC, aged 58, will be known as Her Honour Judge Levitt QC. She was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1988 and took Silk in 2008. She was appointed as a Recorder in 2007.
