The King has appointed Nicholas Rimmer to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Brandon Lewis CBE MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Southwark Crown Court with effect from 31 October 2022.
Nicholas Rimmer will be known as His Honour Judge Rimmer. He was called to the Bar (Lincoln’s Inn) in 2004. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates Court) in 2012, as a District Judge (Magistrates Court) in 2016 and as a Recorder in 2020.
