Circuit Judge Appointment: Russell

The King has appointed Alison Russell to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Canterbury Crown Court with effect from 06 November 2023.

Background Information

Alison Russell will be known as Her Honour Judge Russell. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1993. She was appointed as an Employment Judge in 2010 and as a Recorder in 2020.
