The Queen has appointed Simon Peter James Taylor to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Canterbury Crown Court with effect from 1 September 2022.
Simon Peter James Taylor will be known as His Honour Judge Simon Peter James Taylor QC. He was called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1997 and took silk in 2021. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2020.
