Circuit Judge Appointment: Turner

The King has appointed Mathew Turner to be a Circuit Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Reading Crown Court with effect from 06 November 2023.

Background Information

Mathew Turner will be known as His Honour Judge Mathew Turner. He was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 2003. He was appointed as a Recorder in 2020.
