District Judge Appointment: Coupland
The Queen has appointed Scott Richard Coupland to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the South Eastern Circuit, based at East London Family Court with effect from 17 January 2022.
Background Information
Scott Richard Coupland, aged 38, will be known as District Judge Coupland. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2009. He was appointed as both a Deputy District Judge and a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Health, Education and Social Care Chamber) in 2019.
