District Judge Appointment: Hatt
The King has appointed Samantha Hatt to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed her to the South Eastern Circuit, based at Worthing and Horsham County Court, with effect from 6 November 2023.
Samantha Hatt will be known as District Judge Hatt. She was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 2000. She was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2020.
