District Judge Appointment: Jonathan Napier

The King has appointed Jonathan Napier to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Western Circuit, based at Gloucester County Court with effect from Monday 9 January 2023.  

Background Information

Jonathan Napier will be known as District Judge Napier. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2007. He was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 2017, a Fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, assigned to the Immigration and Asylum Chamber in 2019, and as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
