District Judge Appointment: Lynds

The King has appointed William Lynds to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the previous Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The previous Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the Western Circuit, based at Basingstoke County Court, with effect from 4 December 2023.

Background Information

William Lynds will be known as District Judge Lynds. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1992; he was called to the Bar (Middle Court) in 1999. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2010, and as a Fee-Paid Tribunal Judge in 2019.
