District Judge Appointment: Mahmood
The King has appointed Raja Mahmood to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the previous Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The previous Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Bradford Combined Court with effect from 30 October 2023.
Raja Mahmood will be known as District Judge Mahmood. He was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2004. He was appointed as an Assistant Coroner in 2017, and as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
