District Judge Appointment: Morwood
The King has appointed Jonathan Morwood to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the former Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.
The former Lord Chief Justice deployed him to the Northern Circuit, based at Manchester Civil Justice Centre, with effect from 6 November 2023.
Jonathan Morwood will be known as District Judge Morwood. He was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1996. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 2019.
