District Judge Appointment: Sarah Watson

The King has appointed Sarah Watson to be a District Judge on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Alex Chalk KC MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the North Eastern Circuit, based at Barnsley County Court, with effect from 2 January 2024.

Background Information

Sarah Watson will be known as District Judge Sarah Watson. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 2007. She was appointed as an Assistant Coroner in 2017, and later as a Deputy District Judge in 2019. In 2021, she was appointed as a Fee-Paid Employment Judge.
