District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Appointment: Allen-Khimani

The Queen has appointed Rahim Allen–Khimani to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon.

 The Lord Chief Justice has deployed him to the Midland Circuit, based at Northampton Magistrates’ Court with effect from 8 November 2021.

Background Information

Rahim Allen–Khimani, aged 49, will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Allen-Khimani. He was admitted to the Roll in 2003. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Chairman of the Valuation Tribunal England in 2017, and as a Fee-paid Disability Qualified Member of the First-tier Tribunal, Social Entitlement Chamber in 2018. He was appointed as Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2019.
