District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Appointment: Preston

The King has appointed Alexandra Preston to be a District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) on the advice of the Lord Chancellor, the Right Honourable Dominic Raab MP and the Lord Chief Justice of England and Wales, the Right Honourable The Lord Burnett of Maldon. 

The Lord Chief Justice has deployed her to the Northern Circuit, based at Blackburn Magistrates’ Court with effect from 1 February 2023.

Background Information

Alexandra Preston will be known as District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) Preston. She was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in 1997. She was appointed as an Assistant Coroner in 2018.
