High Court Appointments – Morgan QC and Hill QC

The Queen is pleased to approve the appointment of two Justices of the High Court. These appointments will take effect from 11 January 2022.  It is anticipated that further appointments will be announced.

The candidates approved as High Court Judges are Sarah Morgan QC and Henrietta Hill QC.

These appointments will fill vacancies in the High Court following elevations to the Court of Appeal and confirmed retirements. Sarah Morgan QC

Sarah Morgan QC, aged 57 will be known as The Honourable Mrs Justice Morgan. She was Called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1988 and took Silk in 2011.  

She will take up appointment on 11 January 2022.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Sarah Morgan QC to the Family Division.

Henrietta Hill QC

Henrietta Hill QC, aged 48 will be known as The Honourable Mrs Justice Hill. She was Called to the Bar (Inner Temple) in 1997 and took Silk in 2015.  

She will take up appointment on 11 January 2022.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Henrietta Hill QC to the Queen’s Bench Division.
