Judge Michelle Joy Jeffreys retires with effect from 30 June 2023.
Background information
Judge Jeffreys was called to the Bar (Gray’s Inn) in 1980. She was appointed a Legally Qualified Panel Member of Appeal Tribunals in 1999 and a Deputy District Judge (Magistrates’ Courts) in 2005. She was appointed a District Tribunal Judge (now known as a Judge of the First-tier Tribunal (Social Entitlement Chamber)) in 2011. She was a Diversity and Community Relations Judge from 2015 to 2023.
