Upper Tribunal Judge David Allen retires with effect from 1 February 2023.
Upper Tribunal Judge Allen was called to the Bar (Middle Temple) in 1975 and elected a Bencher in 2022. He was appointed an Immigration Adjudicator in 1999 and a Legal Member of the Special Immigration Appeals Commission in 2001. He was appointed a Senior Immigration Judge (now known as a Judge of the Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber) in 2005 and was a Tribunal Committee Member at the Judicial College from 2013 to 2020. He was authorised to sit as a Deputy High Court Judge in 2016.
