Speech by the Master of the Rolls to the Socio-Legal Studies Association Conference

The Master of the Rolls, Sir Geoffrey Vos, has spoken at the Socio-Legal Studies Association Conference in York.

His lecture was entitled: ‘The proper place of the law in a digital society’.

Sir Geoffrey argued that law is actually rather more important, more essential, and even perhaps more ‘lovable’ than most people think.

He set out how the legal community should do more in the developing digital age to explain why ‘law’ will continue to be critical to the success of society.
